GfK Strategic Marketing Promotes Susan Kohn to Vice President and Christopher Zinn to Consultant
Bala Cynwyd, PA – March 26, 2008 – GfK Strategic Marketing, a leading provider of custom health care marketing research, recently promoted Susan Kohn, Ph.D. to the position of Vice President from Senior Consultant and Christopher Zinn to the position of Consultant from Project Director.

Susan Kohn brings a unique perspective to pharmaceutical marketing research by incorporating her experience as a neurobehavioral researcher in the academic arena. Drawing on her background, Dr. Kohn’s primary area of expertise is central nervous system disorders including Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Parkinson's disease, migraine, and ADHD. Her work has also allowed her to expand into in other therapeutic areas such as oncology, HIV, HBV, pain management, asthma/COPD, diabetes, endometriosis, sepsis, urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. A skilled quantitative researcher, Dr. Kohn focuses on segmentation, forecasting and positioning studies for new and in-line products on both a domestic and global scale.
Before her career in pharmaceutical marketing research, Dr. Kohn directed hospital-based research, funded by the National Institutes of Health, on language disorders after stroke. She also held academic research appointments at the medical schools of Harvard, and Boston and Temple Universities.
Dr. Kohn received her doctorate degree in Experimental Psychology from Tufts University. She holds a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Swarthmore College. She has published work in peer reviewed journals and presented at various international conferences.
Before joining GfK Strategic Marketing, Christopher Zinn worked in Brazil for one of the leading pharmaceutical marketing research companies in Latin America. Mr. Zinn’s first-hand knowledge of the Latin American pharmaceutical market — the world’s second fastest-growing market after China — combined with his international marketing research experience make him a valuable resource for global projects.
A quantitative researcher, Mr. Zinn has conducted studies in a variety of therapeutic areas including osteoporosis, arthritis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, hypertension, dyslipidemia, oncology, Alzheimer's disease, HIV, Hepatitis B, nephrology, virology, vaccines, and wet AMD and conjunctivitis.
Mr. Zinn holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Shippensburg University.
